About the Architect
Polini and Martinez Architects (PM architectos) is a Costa Rican corporation licensed to practice architecture, planning and interior design. The company was founded in 1998 under the name of Manifesto Studio but recently changed its name. The staff is registered by the C.F.I.A. (colegio Federado di Ingenerios y Architectos) of Costa Rica. PM Architectos is committed to the long term welfare of the communities and environments of the projects they create.

The Mariposa plan,1504 square feet of air conditioned living area, may be the smallest house Joya Pacífica offers, but is not short on great features. A dramatic oversized arched window dominates the front facade and floods the interior with light. The balcony on the front of the house is great for taking in ocean and mountain views. The Mariposa plan has a covered parking area for two cars on the front and a 340 sq ft covered patio on the rear. The side entrance opens into the kitchen which features a breakfast bar and opens into the gathering room through an archway.

The Tesoro plan is one floor and includes 2377 square feet of air conditioned living area. Although the plan is one floor the large gathering room has an elevated roof. One side of the gathering room has a huge picture window and the adjoining wall is a series of three sliding glass doors separated by columns; allowing for light and incredible views of the surrounding area. The master bathroom is nearly as large as the master bedroom. It features two sinks, a separate toilet room, a shower stall, a walk-in closet, and a bathing tub which overlooks a private walled in garden.

The Sueños plan, 2335 sq ft of living area, centers around a high-ceilinged living room ceiling overlooked by a spacious loft area. The loft features a large sliding glass door that opens to a balcony. Open and airy, all the bedrooms in the Sueños plan have glass sliding doors that open to the outside. On the second floor the sliding doors open to private balconies, offering big views from every bedroom. All bedrooms in the house have spacious walk-in closets. The master bath opens into a private walled garden. The gracious kitchen layout opens into the living room, which receives plenty of natural light from a series of windows and four retractable sliding glass doors that face the patio area.

The Paraiso plan, to be a total of 3150 square feet of air conditioned living area is the most luxurious plan Joya Pacífica offers. At the center of the plan, adjacent to the main gathering room, is an enclosed courtyard with a stone fountain. There are several more gardens placed throughout the plan, the one next to the front door also has a fountain. The kitchen layout is generous and has a center island and pantry. The master bath has two sets of toilets, sinks and walk in closets.
